[edit] The story of Morrison's journal

At Find-A-Grave, there's a rather interesting story [1] about how Morrison wrote an account of his experiences and arranged to have them published posthumously - and that this, rather than any reasonable clemency, was the reason for his pardon: He was set free on condition that he should not talk about his experiences.
