In one of the episodes of the second series of Friends (where Joey has just gotten sacked from Days of our lives) Gunther tells how he used to be Bryce on All my Children before he was written out by dying in an avalanche. Is that pure scripting, or is there an inside joke? Did James Tyler ever appear on All my Children? I couldn't find anything, but I am no soap buff, so I wouldn't be sure where to look anyhow.
