This article does seem pretty subjective by Wikipedia standards, which stress a neutral telling of facts (NPOV). What the administrators are probably asking for is a straightforward recap of McMurtry's career, with details about his concerts and recordings. And unlimited links to sites that are meant to be pro-James.

I've liked James McMurtry for years.

I agree. The article is definitely written from a subjective point of view, and contains sentence fragments and very informal grammar. I would recommend some clean-up, and also a complete discography for McMurtry. I was looking for a reference to the album that got me hooked on him, "Where'd You Hide the Body".

McMurtry is a gem of a lyricist, and he deserves a more appropriatly worded listing here.
