I am a nephew of James M. Chaney.

You mentioned on November 23, 1963 James M.Chaney was stationed on duty within Dealey Plaza and spoke Jack Ruby.

He told me that he was directing traffic at that time. He knew Jack Ruby and Jack Ruby knew him. He told me that Jack Ruby asked him if that was Sherriff Bill Decker and Police Captian Will Fritz in the window of the Texas School Book Depository building. He said he replied yes.

You mentioned that James M. Chaney died a relatively young man in April, 1976 from a heart attack.

Several years prior to his fatal heart attact he had had several heart attacks. On the occasion of the fatal heart attack he had wrestled some guns away from a neighbor who was threatening to committ suicide.

I just thought you might want to know.
