I don't see James Last on this list? --Balor1999 15:12, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] James Last Discussion Forum

Whenever I add a link to the Yahoo James Last Discussion Forum, somebody removes it. Why? --Balor1999 12:22, 26 December 2005 (UTC) Same with links to other James Last-fanpages. User "talk" always cancel these links. I don't know why, but it's looks, he is envious and frustated. Maybe at home he has nothing to say...?

[edit] Bravo From French Fan

I hope Mr James last will read That! I am now 45 but still loving and enjoying listening and playing the music of Hansi. When I was a young boy my aunt married a berliner Joachim was is name;he used to make me listening James Last records. That's the way I discovered Hammond Organs listening to "Hammond a gogo"and became a Hammond organ player.Isn't it the best sign of a real Master musician to increase Vocations?so today I am going on collecting the records of James last(i have many Vynils like "non stop dancing" summer nights party" ,the 3 "Hammond a gogo",and a few CDs too)but each time prefering the "a gogo" series. It has for me a taste of my young period having hollidays in Bremen were my oncle lived at this time, but also a really nice and fine way of playing music in a world you get angry everyday against noisy ambiant shit music!!!!So thanks a lot to you Mr James Last and I wish you'll be there for Long time pleasing us all(and I m sure we are thousands of people around the world)When will you record the "Hammond a Gogo 4"???I will get it as soon as it is for sale!(if you need me to record the organ sessions i am your man!)i will also be happy to see you performing on stage and i am seriously checking all the news about your concerts.Patrick Durieux. e-mail contact:durieux.p@orange.fr

[edit] Bass guitar???

When Last was a teenager, were there bass guitars? I think what he played as a teenager is a double bass... or not? AlvaroBecerra 07:47, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Agreed. Fender didn't start producing electric basses until c. 1951, when Last was in his 20s. There had been attempts to market them before then (eg Paul Tutmarc), but very few sold. Widmerpool 09:11, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

he could of played it if he invented one —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.125.110.223 (talk) 21:24, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

He played DOUBLE BASS, also known as Bass Fiddle, not electric bass guitar. There's quite a difference. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lathwin (talk • contribs) 16:28, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Terrific

In this article, we are told no less than three times that the material composed and published by James Last is "terrific". I could think of other adjectives that could be used, but to spare those who are James Last fans I'll refrain from doing so. I'll settle for noting that the article as it stands hardly can be said to conform to Wikipedia's NPOV requirements. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.97.2.35 (talk) 12:48, 24 January 2008 (UTC) To reach a more balanced view, I can highly recommend the British comedian Peter Cook's virtuosic impersonation of James Last on view at YouTube. Why is there no reference to "muzak" in the article? Frank Landsman (talk) 17:44, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

DISPUTE MATHEMATICS OF POPULARITY AND TASTE - PUSHING WHO'S POV????

The POV dispute is regarding whether James Last music is "muzak" or "terrific". I do not agree that unbalanced POV is appropriate caution to the reader. The original entry emphasizes the popularity of the music and is the music not terrifically popular when the band recently fills The Royal Albert Hall, in London, England? Furthermore, the audience of all generations are on their feet and enthusiastically participating in accolades to the band. When music standards are interpreted by other artists, these musicians are playing music, not mathematics. Your dispute is not about popularity; rather your dispute is essentially about mathematics. Chinese music is also popular; dare I ask your POV on whether it is to your liking? Your dispute is pushing your POV because you misunderstand the reason why James Last is entered while your success is not. PLease remove your caution.209.240.116.171 (talk) 02:17, 3 March 2008 (UTC) 209.240.116.171 (talk) 02:13, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
