Looking at the news the last few days including this report from the Washington Post, it seems Kimber was the victim of bad timing. I'm going to change the article to reflect that unless someone has strong objections and/or evidence otherwise. Joshdboz 22:15, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

The article just quotes him saying that there was nothing wrong and that he would have known. It also writes about unnamed "other reasons" of his removal. This is neither any sort of confirmation that he was not involved nor that he did not know about it. Añoranza 22:32, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

The article (another version here) states that "Kimber, who was relieved of his duties in April for reasons unrelated to Haditha, was commanding a company in another Iraqi city several miles away at the time of the incident." This is Reuters by the way, and comes in addition to Hackett's lawyer's statements here. If so much doubt exists as to someones involvement in something so serious, this article needs to reflect it in an obvious way. Joshdboz 23:31, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

My apologies, after reading the Times article, it does basically read that all 3 were relieved b/c of a continuing investigation. However, this statement should still be qualified later on. Joshdboz 00:58, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

I know Kimber...the guy is a stud!!!! It is a sad day for the Marine Corps to let this warrior go. "Please put your life on the line...go to war...far from home....kill bad guys....if something goes wrong...someone back home...far from the action...will play judge, jury, & executioner." So goes the life of a US Marine.
