This article needs a disambiguation between James MacDonald and this James E. McDonald. Further, the categories at bottom should consistently point to James E. Mcdonald rather than some to James McDonald and others to James E.

I'm rather concerned that this entry is making a lot of unsourced statements concerning McDonal's intents opinions and relationships with others, as well as a lot of other unsourced references to his work.

It might all be 100% true (or not), but it should still be directly sourced through a citation from a third party such as a biographer or a press report.
