Talk:James DeLaurier
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This page shows nothing about a man carrying ornithopter. James DeLaurier previously falsely claimed to be the first to fly a radio controlled engine powered ornithopter, when he KNEW that Percival Spencer had flown a radio controlled powered ornithopter in 1961, which "orniplane" could takeoff, cruise fully manuravable, and land under full control. Spencer's plans for man carrying version have been available since 1962. DeLaurier's model could only fly on a hill with enough upslope wind to fly any kind of sailplane, and had to be hand launched.
Now he has some false claim to man carrying ornithopter, yet no data to prove it, not even real plans!
