Talk:James Cameron (disambiguation)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
_ _ The removal of the lk to America's Black Holocaust Museum was not an error, and in fact no reference to the museum is appropriate in the Dab. The purpose of a Dab page is to disambiguate: specifically, between the different intents with which the page's title could reasonably be used. "James Cameron" cannot mean "America's Black Holocaust Museum", and mention of the museum is redundant to "civil rights" (or arguably even to "activist" of unspecified kind) in clarifying which James Cameron is being sought.
_ _ No one, i'm sure, would question the mention of the museum in his bio. But the bio is the appropriate route to the museum for any user who can't recall its name sufficiently accurately to go there directly. In contrast, a Dab page or a list cannot substitute for an article -- nor can it do well its job as a navigational mechanism, if all its users are to be burdened with unnecessary words that are merely slight conveniences for a rare group of users.
