Jamuhar is a small village in the state of Bihar district Rohtas. It is mostly inhabited by SIKARWAR Rajputs. This small village has produced many emminent persons having illustrious careers. It has signified itself in various fields and almost all political parties like Congress (Kumar manoj Singh), BJP (.gopal narayn Singh and Kumar bbinod Singhj) has fielded candidates for assembly and parliamentary elections from sikarwar families. Mr Baidya Nath Pd Singh has represented India in 1965 as an IFYE and contributed handsomely in agriculture field after coming from U.S.A.in field of education. The family of Late Shri Saryu Singh and Latef Shri Dharmu Singh were the pioneers in modern agriculture and introduced tractors/harvesters in early 60s. The eldest son of this family Late Shri Durga Prasad Singh was a renowned religious and social activist of the region and was also the founder of Jamuhar High School. His younger brother Late Shri Bimaleshwar Singh was a renowned academic of his times. He was the topper of matriculation of Sahabad region and was also a brilliant lawyer.

Today many people from the village are excelling in the field of academics, Govt service, business, politics etc. Shri Gopal narain Singh, Shri Krishna Ballabh Singh, Dr Chittaranjan Singh, Shri Alok Pratap are few of the many who have excelled in their respective area viz business, service, medicine and academics.

The younger generation of Jamuhar is also bringing accolades to the village. Mr Pankaj Singh is UK returned Financial analyst who is working for a leading ERP solutions provider, Mr Govind Singh and Dimpu Singh are budding entrpreneurs with their hands in quarry business, dealership, contracts etc. The hardworking nature and intelligence of the people of this village has made it the 'talk of the town' of the area. Today the village boasts of a medical college, telephone exchange, latest cars and SUVs etc. It is hard to believe that such a village exists in Bihar.
