Jamil Zainasheff

Jamil Zainasheff is a software engineer by profession. He is also an Internet radio host, author, and award-winning homebrewer. He lives in Elk Grove, California, USA.[1]

Mr. Zainasheff started homebrewing in 1999[2]and is the most awarded homebrewer in the world. He has won the Ninkasi Award twice. His high profile in the homebrewing community lead to his hosting of the Internet radio show "The Jamil Show" on The Brewing Network. He co-authored Brewing Classic Styles: 80 Winning Recipes Anyone Can Brew with John J. Palmer.

Mr. Zainasheff will become the Representative of the West Region(Hawaii and California) and Vice President of the Board of Directors of the BJCP, effective June 1, 2008.[3] He also has participated in the leadership of the American Homebrewers Association.[2]
