Jamie Christopher Stuart (born October 15, 1976 in Southwark, England) is an English footballer, currently playing for Grays Athletic.

Jamie started his career at Charlton Athletic where he rose through the youth ranks and eventually made over 50 appearances for The Addicks. However his time at Charlton was marred when he was sacked for testing positive for cocaine and marijuana, which he denied taking knowingly. He was also handed a 6-month ban by The FA.

Whilst at Charlton Athletic, Stuart was selected to represent the England Under-21's.

After serving his suspension, he then signed for Millwall, where he spent over two seasons before joining Bury in October 2001.

Whilst at Bury, Stuart gained a total of 4 red cards and a handful of yellows in an 18-month period. This disciplinary record was on par with former Manchester United favourite Roy Keane and Leeds' striker Alan Smith.

Stuart then wanting to return closer to his roots, moved to Southend United at the start of the 2003–04 season where he lasted just one season before being released by manager Steve Tilson.

The then left-back then dropped down to the Conference South to join now defunct Hornchurch, where he was converted from a full-back into a centre back. A financial crisis at the club forced the player to leave Hornchurch in November 2004 and join Grays Athletic, along Johnny Martin, Ashley Bayes, Steve West, and Lee Matthews.

Stuart has also managed the team in the Essex Senior Cup. He won the player of the year award for the 2006–07 season.

He was held in custody by Essex Police on suspicion of assault, in relation to an incident involving Chris Beardsley, which occurred during a match with York City.[1] He was charged with grievous bodily harm in December.[2]

At the end of the 2007-08 season, Stuart was named as the Management Player of The Year.[3]
