Jamie Campbell (born March 21st, 1950, in Carshalton, Surrey) is an East Anglian author and journalist. Jamie lives in Gorleston on Sea and is only concerned with old local yachts and commercial sailing craft - with particular reference to the Norfolk & Suffolk Broads - inland UK waters. He has several published works to his credit including Hamilton's Norfolk & Suffolk Broads Navigation, a biography of George Christopher Davies, and a History of Norfolk Punts.
Campbell is a keen yachtsman, racing to an international level for 25 years mainly in the 505 and Dragon classes with occasional sallies three decades ago in Flying Dutchmen. Veteran of a number of shorthanded longhaul races, he is currently involved with Excelsior, a restored Lowestoft sailing smack and sails the 35-foot classic Broads sailing boat Evening Flight.
