Jamesville-Dewitt High School

Jamesville-DeWitt High School (JDHS) is a New York State public education facility located in in the Town of DeWitt, serving high school students (grades 9-12) in the Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District. The principal is Mr. Paul Gasparini.

As noted in the Alma Mater, the School rests upon a hilltop off of Edinger Dr. These hills have many fields, used for athletics, as well as snowshoeing and sledding during the winter. The hills behind the school contain some of the most scenic cross-country paths along with a great wall of rock that is ideal for pictures.

Famous musical alumni include classical guitarist Eliot Fisk (Class of 1972), jazz musician and author Walt Weiskopf (Class of 1977), and former Phish drummer Jon Fishman (Class of 1983). Famous sports alumni include former NBA player Danny Schayes (Class of '77), former NFL and Syracuse University Orange players Scott Schwedes (Class of 1983), Robert Drummond (Class of 1985), and LPGA golfer Suzy Whaley (Class of 1984) who in 2003 became the first woman to qualify for a PGA Tour event. Current Syracuse Orange basketball star Andy Rautins also graduated from Jamesville-DeWitt in 2005. He scored over 1,000 points in his basketball career at the school. The school mascot is the Red Ram and the colors are scarlet, and white.
