James White Civic Coliseum

James White Civic Coliseum is a 7,141-seat multi-purpose arena in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The arena was built in 1961. It is home to the Knoxville Ice Bears ice hockey team of the Southern Professional Hockey League; and the University of Tennessee Ice Vols Hockey Team, of the American Collegiate Hockey Association.
In the past, the Coliseum hosted the Knoxville Speed of the United Hockey League; the Knoxville Cherokees of the East Coast Hockey League; and the Knoxville Knights of the Eastern Hockey League. It was also the home of the Tennessee Thundercats professional indoor football franchise for two years. The James White Civic Coliseum was the main home arena for Smoky Mountain Wrestling, a regional wrestling promotion run by pro wrestling Hall of Famer Jim Cornette from 1992 to 1995.
