James Trezvant

James Trezvant (unknown - September 2, 1841) was a U.S. Representative from Virginia.

Born in Sussex County, Virginia, Trezvant completed preparatory studies. He studied law. He was admitted to the bar and commenced practice in Jerusalem, Virginia. Attorney general of Virginia. He served as delegate to the State constitutional convention in 1820. He served in the State house of delegates.

Trezvant was elected to the Nineteenth and Twentieth Congresses and as a Jacksonian to the Twenty-first Congress (March 4, 1825-March 3, 1831). He served as chairman of the Committee on Military Pensions (Twenty-first Congress). He died in Southampton County, Virginia, September 2, 1841.
