James T. Houk

James T. Houk is an associate professor of religion and anthropology at Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In addition to the book Spirits, Blood, and Drums (Temple University Press, 1995), Dr. Houk has published numerous articles on religion (general) and African religion in the New World. He received his doctorate in anthropology in 1992 from Tulane University.
