James Reid is the singer and guitarist in the New Zealand band The Feelers.
He has two older brothers, one of which is Donald Reid who is also an accomplished songwriter who has co-written some songs with James and also released his own album. James also has two older sisters.
James attended the same primary school, Avonhead Primary as another member of The Feelers, Hamish Gee. He also attended Christ's College, Canterbury in Christchurch before studying fine art and film at Canterbury University. When The Feelers started to make progress he put his study on hold.
