James P. Leddy (1942 - ) -- Former Democratic member of the Vermont State Senate, who represented the Chittenden senate district.
James Leddy was first elected to the Vermont State Senate in 1998 and continued in that office through 2006.

[edit] Biography
Leddy was born in Burlington, Vermont on August 8, 1942. After attending Rice Memorial High School, he went on to study at St. Michael's College and the University of Ottawa where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in 1964. He received an M.S.W. from Barry University in 1973.
He is married to Clorinda Jane Leddy (formerly Marro). The couple has three daughters (Sarah, Gia and Brennan) and one son (Seamas).
[edit] Public Life
Leddy was first elected to the Vermont Senate in 1998, and was reelected in 2000, 2002 and 2004. In 2006, he chose not to run for reelection.
In 2003 Leddy was chosen by the legislature to serve on board of trustees of the University of Vermont.
