James Orthwein

James Busch Orthwein (born March 13, 1924 in St. Louis, Missouri) is a businessman and member of the Busch family, who owned the New England Patriots from 1992-1993. He purchased the team from Victor Kiam, when the latter was facing bankruptcy and owed him millions. He reportedly planned on relocating the Patriots franchise to St. Louis. The move never came to pass when Robert Kraft took ownership in 1994.
During his ownership Orthwein hired Bill Parcells as head coach, who along helped returned the moribund franchise back to respectability.
