James O'Dea

James O'Dea is President of the Institute of Noetic Sciences and a faculty member of the Omega Institute. He is a former Executive Director of the Seva Foundation and a former Director of the Washington, DC office of Amnesty International. He is a member of The World Wisdom Council.
He was born in Ireland in 1951. Attended Haberdashers' Aske's Hatcham Grammar School for Boys in London Haberdashers' Aske's Hatcham College Received B.A. Hons University of London, M.A. School for International Training School for International Training in Vermont. Head of English at Tarsus American School in Turkey Tarsus American College and founder of Ecumenical Travel Office of The Middle East Council of Churches in Beirut. He was Executive Director of the Seva Foundation and before that Director of The Washington Office of Amnesty International USA. He is currently President of the Institute of Noetic Sciences (www.noetic.Org;www.shiftinaction.com) Keynote speaker for many conference including Peace Alliance, Science and Consciousness Conference, Engaging The Other, Alliance for a New Humanity, Goi Peace Foundation and others. He has featured essays in The Mystery of 2012 (Sounds True, September 2007), Consciousness and Healing (Elsevier Press) and other books and publications. Lectures worldwide on global healing, evolutionary change, consciousness, science and spirituality etc
