James "Jimmy" Moore was a professional footballer, who played as a forward for Barnsley prior to the First World War and Derby after it.
[edit] Club career
He joined Barnsley sometime prior to 1912 and was brought into the first team to replace an injured player.[1] He played in the 1912 FA Cup Final [2] which Barnsley won 1-0 extra time of the replay match after the first game ended goaless. He had a good shot saved in the first match[3]
but the Manchester Guardian felt he didn't get enough passes in the replay and did not have much impact on the game.[4]
He spent the 1922-23 season with Derby County.[5]
