James Monk

Sir James Monk (1745–1826) was Chief Justice of Lower Canada. He was born in Boston, Massachussetts and educated in Halifax, Nova Scotia where his father had settled in 1749.[1]
He was knighted in 1825. In 1826, he would die at his home in Cheltenham, England at the age of 41.
