James McGuinness (Roman Catholic Bishop)

James Joseph McGuinness (2 October 1925 - 6 April 2007) was Bishop of the Diocese of Nottingham.
He was born in Derry City, Northern Ireland, and was ordained a priest on 3 June 1950, aged 24, for the Diocese of Nottingham, by Bishop Edward Ellis.
On 2 February 1972 he was appointed Coadjutor Bishop for the Diocese of Nottingham and Titular Bishop of Sanctus Germanus (Ordination of Bishop McGuinness).
He was ordained a bishop the following month, on 23 March 1972. He succeeded to become bishop of the diocese on 31 October 1974, where he remained until his retirement. He died in 2007, aged 81.
