James Lesure (born September 21, 1975) is an American actor who portrays Mike Cannon on the TV series Las Vegas. His previous roles including playing Mel Ellis on For Your Love series and made a brief cameo in the horror sequel, The Ring 2. He is also known for his guest appearances on many different US TV series, including Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip, Seinfeld, Alias, NYPD Blue , The Drew Carey Show and Lost. An early movie appearance was in the thriller Crimson Tide where he played the credited role of a guard on board the Nuclear Submarine USS Alabama. He most recently co-starred as Clint, the horndog camera man in the indie romantic comedy, Loveless in Los Angeles. His awards include 2006 MVP of the NBAE League; Outstanding Actor in TV Drama at the Multicultural Prism Awards (2006); Distinguished Support Award from the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation of CA.

He was born James LeSure in Los Angeles, California.[1]
