James J. Crist, Ph.D., CSAC, is a psychologist and a certified substance abuse counselor in Woodbridge, Virginia. He is the author of a number of self-help books for children and teenagers. His next book, due out later this summer, and published by Free Spirit Publishing, is titled Mad: How to Handle Anger and Get Respect. Dr. Crist is also an adjunct faculty member at Argosy University, where he teaches courses in counseling and psychotherapy to graduate students. Born in Rochester, New York, he attended Williams College for his undergraduate work and earned his doctoral degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He currently resides in Fort Washington, Maryland.
