James Howard-Johnston

James Howard-Johnston is an English historian of the Byzantine Empire. He is University Lecturer in Byzantine Studies at the University of Oxford and a fellow of Corpus Christi College, Oxford. He is the convenor of classes on the 'Near East in the Age of Justinian and Muhammad' and 'Byzantium in the Age of Constantine Porphyrogenitus'. He is married to the novelist Angela Huth.
