James Hardy (basketball)

James Percival Hardy (born December 1, 1956, in Knoxville, Alabama) is a retired American professional basketball player. He was a 6'8" (203 cm) 220 lb (100 kg) forward and played collegiately at the University of San Francisco from 1978 to 1982. He played briefly in the NBA during the 1984-85 season.
Hardy was selected with the 11th overall pick in the 1978 NBA Draft by the New Orleans Jazz. In four seasons with the Jazz (who relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1979), he averaged 5.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
