James Hall (born February 4, 1977 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is an American football defensive end for the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League. He was originally signed by the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2000. He played college football at Michigan.

[edit] Detroit Lions
He went undrafted in the 2000 NFL Draft, but signed with the Detroit Lions. Hall had a career high 3.5 sacks against the Buffalo Bills on October 15, 2006. The Lions won the game and got their first victory of the 2006 season.

Hall was traded to the St. Louis Rams from the Detroit Lions in exchange for a 5th round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft.
