James Glenny Wilson

Sir James Glenny Wilson (18481929) was a New Zealand politician and farmer.

He represented Foxton in the 8th, 9th & 10th parliaments (1881-90), then Palmerston in the 11th parliament (1890-93), and then Otaki in the 12th parliament (1893-96), when he retired.

He was born in Hawick, Scotland, and emigrated to Australia, then New Zealand, where he farmed in the Rangitikei district of the North Island.

He was knighted in 1915, and died at Bulls in 1929. He was the first president (1902-20) of the Farmer's Union, now New Zealand Federated Farmers .
