James Gladstone Edwards

James Gladstone (Jim) Edwards QSM (born 1927) was a Member of Parliament for Napier, in the North Island of New Zealand.

Jim Edwards was the MP for Napier for twelve years from 1954 to 1966. In 1966 he resigned from the NZ Labour Party. Edwards was concerned with the increasing union domination of the party (Taylor, pp.122 & 222).
He was awarded the NZ 1990 Medal and the QSM in 1994 for services to New Zealand.
Jim Edwards married Alison Nordmeyer, the daughter of Sir Arnold Nordmeyer.
