James Geoffrey Gordon

James Geoffrey Gordon M.A. was born on 11 Dec 1881 and died on 28 Aug 1938. He was a priest in the Church of England.
He was Private Secretary to Lord President of the Council 1904 - 1906, Called to the Bar 1906, Rector of St. John's Church, Edinburgh 1919 - 1926, Vicar of St. Mary's Church, Nottingham 1926 - 1933 and Suffragan Bishop of Jarrow 1932 - 1938.
As Bishop of Jarrow he was in attendance at the start of the Jarrow March in 1936 and gave it his blessing.
