James Martyn Frost is a guitarist and backing vocalist from Welsh indie-rock band The Automatic. He is described on the band's website as "a wide-eyed emo-boy[1]". Frost has stated that if The Automatic hadn't become popular and signed that he would have just done Music Technology, but also says that he would most likely have failed it.[2]

[edit] Musical Career
Frost began his professional career in 2002 when The Automatic formed, ditching their former name White Rabbit. One of his most notable performances with the automatic was on GMTV, when he and Alex Pennie wrecked the set and destroyed their hired equipment after being told that they would have to mime their hit Monster[3]. As a result of this, a cameraman supposedly received a glancing injury from Frost and threatened the band with legal action.[4][5][6]
He is also known for his "Frost Faces" which he pulls during many photographs. [7]Frost appeared at the Gibson guitar show in 2007.[8]
[edit] Awards
James Frost was voted 20th in NME's "Cool Awards" 2006.[9][10]
