James Ford (journalist)

James Ford is a general assignment reporter for WPIX. He currently works for the station's morning newscast.
Ford had been a reporter at WNYW (FOX 5) since June 2001, covering a wide variety of stories throughout the tri-state area and beyond, from breaking news to features. He has also appeared on FOX 5's coverage of news out of Washington, D.C., including reports on the 9/11 Commission, the Iraq War and the Beltway Sniper. He left the station in January 2007, the result of a management decision. After working as a freelance reporter for WPIX for several months, he signed on as a full-time reporter on November 13, 2007.
Before coming to FOX 5, James worked at stations in Indianapolis, Orlando, and Savannah, as a news anchor, bureau chief/reporter and consumer investigative reporter. He is a graduate of Yale University, where he was president of the Yale Glee Club, and the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. James lives with his wife in the New York area.
