James F. McCarthy was the first head college football coach for the Manhattan College Jaspers located in New York, New York and he held that position for three seasons, from 1925 until 1927. His career coaching record at Manhattan was 9 wins, 12 losses, and 2 ties. This ranks him third at Manhattan in total wins and fourth at Manhattan in winning percentage. [1]
