James F. Gennaro

James F. Gennaro is a Democratic member of the New York City, New York, City Council. In November 2005, he was reelected to a third term as the representative for the 24th Council District, of the Fresh Meadows neighborhood in the borough of Queens.
Previously, Gennaro served as a senior policy adviser to then Council Speaker Peter Vallone, Sr., and as an adjunct professor of political science and environmental public policy at Queens College.[citation needed] He also served as President of the Jamaica Estates Association and as a member of Queens Community Board 8.[citation needed]
As of 2007, Gennaro lives with his wife, Joanne, and their daughter in Jamaica Estates, Queens.
