James Doorley

James Doorley was elected as Chairman of the Consumers' Association of Ireland[1] (CAI) on November 27th 2007, having previously served on the executive of the CAI from 2002-2007. At present he represents the CAI on the Consultative Consumer Panel of the Financial Regulator[2] He is currently Assistant Director with responsibility for advocacy and representation at the National Youth Council of Ireland.[3]

Doorley is active in a number of other organisations, such as Meath Community and Voluntary Forum and the Carnegie Trust for the UK and Ireland[4] He also previously served as Vice President of the European Youth Forum[5] from 2004-2006.

Originally from Borrisokane,[6] Co. Tipperary, Doorley continues to be an avid Tipperary hurling supporter. He currently lives in Ashbourne, County Meath.[7]
