James Carsone (born 1973 in Youngstown, Ohio) is an American guitarist and songwriter most notable for performing with the power metal band Tempo Tantrum.

Carsone is a co-founder of the American rock band Tempo Tantrum. As the band's lead guitarist, Carsone began aggressively performing throughout the mid-western club circuit in the early 1990s. The band, Tempo Tantrum, grew to be very popular as a progressive metal alternative to the grunge music scene at the time. Carsone saw the band's greatest success in the European rock markets throughout the 1990s. The 1995 album, "Into The Realm", was featured on the German and Netherlands Metal 100 charts.
