James Cameron was the 12th head college football coach for the Howard Payne University Yellow Jackets located in Brownwood, Texas and he held that position for four seasons, from 1968 until 1971. His career coaching record at Howard Payne was 21 wins, 20 losses, and 2 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him ninth at Howard Payne in total wins and eighth at Howard Payne in winning percentage (0.512).[1]
