James C. Condos

James C. ("Jim") Condos (born January 29, 1951 in Orange, New Jersey) is a Democratic member of the Vermont State Senate, representing the Chittenden senate district.

James Condos was first elected to the Vermont State Senate in 2000 and continues in that office.

Condos moved to Burlington, Vermont in 1955 and then South Burlington in 1967. He graduated from South Burlington High School in 1969. In 1974, he graduated from the University of Vermont.

He is divorced and has one daughter, Chelsea.

Condos works as public affairs manager for Vermont Gas Systems, Inc.

Condos served on the South Burlington city council from May 1989 through May 2007. He served as Council Vice Chair 1995-1999; and Council Chair from 1999-May 2007.

Condos Served on the National League of Cities Board of Directors 2005-2006.

He was first elected to the Vermont Senate in 2000 and reelected in 2002, 2004, and 2006.

Condos served as Senate Education Committee Chair during the 2003-2004 biennium, and Chair of Senate Government Operations Committee in the 2005-2006 biennium.
