James Bremer

Sir James John Gordon Bremer (September 26, 1786 - February 14, 1850) was rear-admiral in the British Royal Navy. He was distinguished in the Burmese and Chinese wars.

Bremer landed at the Possession Point on the Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong at 26 January 1841 during First Opium War, prior to ceding of the island according to Treaty of Nanking.
