James Beauttah

James Beauttah led the Kikuyu Central Association, Kenya's first all-African political organization together with Joseph Kang'ethe. They were later joined by Jomo Kenyatta in 1924.
In 1929, the Kikuyu Central Association decides to send Jomo Kenyatta to Britain to present African grievances before Colonial office. Indian leader and Legco member, Mr Isher Dass, collects funds for his trip.
1930 Sep 24 Kenyatta returns to Kenya, he and his wife Grace Wahu reach Mombasa where they are welcomed by Beauttah.
His grandson George Beauttah married Marie Mbilu, the daughter of Major General E S Mbilu .
