James A. Shapiro

James A. Shapiro is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Chicago. His research interests include natural genetic engineering, the ways by which organisms actively restructure their genetic material in response to environmental stresses. His view that it presents a 'third way' between darwinism and creationism, however, is not agreed upon within academia.[1]
