JAMDAT Mobile was a mobile entertainment producer of video games, ring tones, images, and other enterprises. JAMDAT had many properties, both original and licensed, including an original bowling game, Tetris, and The Lord of the Rings. They distributed their properties through wireless connection companies. JAMDAT was headquartered in Los Angeles, and had employees in Honolulu, Montreal, Tokyo, London, Bucharest, Hyderabad, and others. They were purchased by Electronic Arts (EA) on December 8, 2005, in order to produce over 50 games after their acquisition. EA purchased the company for about US$680 million.[1]
