James Gilbey at the cash window of the Spinout. Cambridge Midsummer Fair 2005.

The Spinout is a Jolly Tube — a large, carpetted, rotating tube which is challenging to walk through.

James Gilbey, in his early twenties, explains that this is the first ride he has owned. Having been born into a family of showmen and travelled with the fair all his life, his parents have now set him up with his first ride. Although the Spinout is rather dated compared to some of the larger rides, it is still brightly decorated.
