[edit] Fair Use Justification
I, GuildNavigator84, believe this TV screenshot to be covered under Fair Use by United States copyright law for the following reasons:
- it is a low resolution still of a television show
- it does not limit the copyright owners rights to sell the film in any way
- the image was taken by a TV screen capturer which means this not the original portrait
- it allows for identification of the host of the series in a characteristic setting
- it illustrates the program in question and aids commentary and the subsequent article's explanation of the series
[edit] Licensing
This image is a screenshot of a copyrighted television program or station ID. As such, the copyright for it is most likely owned by the company or corporation that produced it. It is believed that the use of a limited number of web-resolution screenshots
qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, might be copyright infringement. For more information, see Wikipedia:Non-free content. |
