[edit] Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Goguryeo

Hi JakeLM,

You seem to expressed having a pretty strong opinion on the Goguryeo page. While you also sound pretty fed up, you might consider joining the mediation by adding yourself to the list of participants, agreeing to mediation, and contacting Armed Blowfish to arrange an account on the private Wiki.

Right now mediation is still kind of getting off the ground, so it probably not to late to join. --Cheers, Komdori 18:06, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Hello JakeLM,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you were making some valuable edits to Goguryeo, Balhae, and related articles.
Unfortunately, there are non-NPOV editors on both spectrums (Chinese & Korean), and it would really be nice to have a person with an even-perspective like you join us. The first order of the matter is to resolve the disputes in accordance with the Wikipedia policy WP:DR.
It would really help if you joined our ongoing mediation, because you seem to be knowledgeable of Chinese history.
I'll look forward to seeing you there.--Endroit 18:12, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] warning

It seems to me that you are acting in an uncivil manner. Please remain civil and don't resort to making personal attacks or instigate edit wars. Calling the talk page a "giant circle jerk for Korean ethnocentrists" is not productive. Good friend100 19:26, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Northeast Project of the Chinese Academy of Social Science

I just found out that you submitted the request to unlock the page protection for the Northeast Project. There are many outstanding POV issues that have to be resolved at the talk page [1]. It seems that Cydevil38 is unwilling to discuss or is unable to address the issues presented. He insists on using highly provocative/POV terminology (e.g. "Turkestan") and unsupported claims (e.g. application of Zhonghua Minzu). Since you helped reopen the article, would it be possible for you to participate in the discussions at the talk page? Thanks. Assault11 03:47, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] provocative, racist, and unproductive messages

I saw that you deposited a highly charged and over-the-top message on Talk:Goguryeo recently. "Circle-jerk Koreans" and other racist language will not be tolerated. You have been warned above by a controversial editor on the same topic, and so I will stop here. Please also consider my comment, and please moderate your comments in the future. Mumun 無文 21:56, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

I have to wonder, what part of that comment was 'racist'? The use of the word 'Korea' in a manor other than to say, 'most glorious race in the history of human kind'? Sorry, but their was nothing racist about JakeLM's comments. Inappropriate? Perhaps, but racist -- no. 125.54.22.228 09:17, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Shanghaid02.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Shanghaid02.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:33, 13 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fred-J 15:33, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Image:Shanghaid01.jpg

A tag has been placed on Image:Shanghaid01.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [2], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Kelly hi! 16:15, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
