Octopus Food

London based Event Catering Company, formed in 1999 by Chef Jake Honeywill.

There is a funny story attached to the naming of Octopus Food. Back in the days when Jake was a chef (& a budding film music soundtrack writer) he decided to shoot a fly on the wall documentary about the goings on of a restaurant kitchen. The title of the film was 'Shocking the Octopus' (repeatedly plunging a whole (dead of course) octopus into boiling water to tenderise it). Unfortunately the film was never completed. Jake did however start up his own bespoke catering copmpany 'Octopus Food'. He started with barbecues & dinner parties and progressed quickly into catering for T.V and film shoots. A year or so later Octopus Food did their first wedding. Which was a great success.Since 2002 Octopus Food have mainly been concentrating on Dinner parties, Finger buffets, canape parties & corporate events. In early 2006 Octopus Food registered for VAT and formed a limited company 'Octopus Food Limited'
