[edit] old stuff

He is best known for his uncanny ability to play terrible in the postseason, (for which former San Francisco 49ers GM Bill Walsh has compared him to Joe Montana) and is thus nicknamed Jake the Snake.

He plays badly in the post-season, yet because of this coaching legend Bill Walsh compares him to Joe Montana? With Montana being arguably the best post-season quarterback of all time?

And what was does Plummer's nickname, which has followed him since his college days, have to do with his post-season performance as a professional quarterback?

Who edited this Page?

I have no idea who originally created the page, all I know is that the opening is confusing. --The Kevin 21:16, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Bill Walsh compared Plummer to Joe Montana prior to the 1997 draft and Plummer's pro career; I believe the quote was in a Sports Illustrated article. Also, Plummer's ASU passing records have since been eclipsed by Andrew Walter, who now plays with the Oakland Raiders.--rscottjones 21:33, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "goldenboy jay culter's"

Plummer last and calling culter a goldenboy is not needed (see WP:AWW and WP:NPOV) unless there a source saying that the Broncos decided to not to restart him because of his last plays, I see no reason for the addition, so removed it 06:47, ▪◦▪≡ЅiREX≡Talk 1 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Verify statement, please

The article says, "Soon after the 2006 season came to a close, Plummer announced that he will not be returning to the Denver Broncos." Is there a source for this? It should be removed if not. 68.186.88.254 02:53, 7 January 2007 (UTC)cwaters

[edit] Tone Vandalism

I think this page was vandalised by use of offensive words and sarcasm. Still, the vandalism is downright. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Orthologist (talkcontribs) 20:47, 1 February 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Opening Paragraph

How do you edit the opening paragraph of this page? It's aweful. "and things like that". Was that written by a 10 year old?

Hi all,

No disrespect to whoever wrote this originally, but I'm cleaning up the language a bit to be more neutral and in a more concise/clear format.

Is it just me or does the Personal section of this article seem like a trivia section? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.34.217.222 (talk) 03:37, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
