[edit] Okay, obvious vandalism fixed
The obvious vandalism - that this guy died from his fall - is now fixed. However, I have a hard time thinking of him as truly notable. Can other editors who are more familiar with this subject please work on this article to demonstrate this guy's notability? I'll keep it on my watchlist; if nobody who knows something about professional skateboarding can do that within a week, I'll PROD the article. Risker 00:23, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
- If he's indeed the first person to land a 720 (two complete rotations in midair), then that's quite noteworthy in itself. Even if he fell while doing the followup, still stands that he did land the first trick in that run. 71.198.127.97 23:54, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
- While he is not the first person to land a 720 (tony hawk even landed a 900 a few years ago), he is the first person to do it over a 70 foot gap, most other successful attempts at the trick come off of a vert ramp, not a "Big Air" ramp. He is also the X games silver medalist in the big air competition. as well as these other accomplishments
2004 - First in Vert at LG Action Sports Tour, Beijing, China
2005 - First in Vert Best Trick at Globe World Cup, Australia 2005 - Second in Vert at LG Action Sports Tour, Paris, France
- Okay, we are getting somewhere. More details about his previous successes will help this article immeasurably; right now, he comes across as being notable only for falling down. References will be really useful to keep this article going. Risker 02:52, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
Why was the following undone from Jake Brown: "Brown was presented Trick of the Day on Saturday August 4, 2007. Also on this day returned to X Games Thirteen on August 4, 2007 to a cheering crowd at The Home Depot Center. Brown returned to X Games and walked into The Home Depot ceter under his own power holding a cane in his left hand on August 4, 2007. Sal Maskasala refered to it as an "electrifying moment at X Games, not at X Games Thirteen but a moment we will ever forget at X Games period." Sal Maskasala was referring both to the moment that the fall happened and his return to The Home Depot Center in Los Angeles, California. Sal Maskasala then refered to Jake Brown as "Unbreakable", "Jake "unbreakable" Brown."? This is all relevant information relating to his horrific fall.
[edit] Vandalism
How do you report a page for ongoing vandalism? Ttarp 06:37, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Unbreakable?
Why is this included in his name? This was just a nickname the comentator gave him and I'm pretty sure he will never be know for it later in his life, like he wasn't before.
Also I think including his sponsors establishes him as notable and should be included.--KoRnholio8 08:28, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
